UI/UX Designer

As a User Experience Designer at Scoutible, we are looking for someone with great aesthetic taste, a love of making amazing things! You will work closely with our Chief Product Officer to ensure consistency across the user experience of our products and how we present ourselves externally. The User Experience Designer role will have you working across the entire internal product team including our web and game development teams to create wireframes, mockups and prototypes. You will also conduct user research on new features to gather objective opinions to help steer product decisions. From time to you may also have to make cool company swag.

  • 2+ years of professional UI/UX experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in art, design, human-computer interaction (HCI) or equivalent professional experience

  • Understanding of web and interactive design fundamentals and experience designing for mobile.

  • Experience working in all or any of these applications to create your design work: Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, Zeplin

What you'll be doing:

  • Make and collaborate on new mockups for our web app, mobile app, and marketing site

  • Maintain an online repository of mockups.

  • Establish a consistent style across Scoutible.

  • Explore and champion new features for Scoutible’s customers.

  • Conduct UXR with customers and applicants on Scoutible’s platform.

  • Create design elements for website and sometimes other business needs.

About you:

  • You've got a successful track record of designing beautiful, customer-facing web applications that delight users.

  • You have design talents and experience creating professional design work.

  • Good communication skills; you're able to communicate your concepts with both sales-minded people and more technical developers.

  • Passion for design and the arts.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience or knowledge of web development.

  • Illustration experience.

  • Know how to create physical print media.

  • Performed larger scale UXR on a software product before.
